25 January 2019 @ 13:30 - 16:00
Led by Helen Jones.
This is a 2 part training course relevant to class teachers and Inclusion leads as it will encourage a strategic view of provision in your school or setting.
Helen has been a successful school improvement adviser for 15 years, first with Hertfordshire Standards and School Effectiveness and subsequently with Herts for Learning (HfL). Prior to that, she was a headteacher for 13 years, working in schools in challenging circumstances. She resigned from her post as one of the directors of HfL at the end of February 2018 and now runs her own school improvement business. Her specific areas of interest are provision for vulnerable pupils, including for those who have special educational needs and/or disabilities, provision for pupils who are supported by the pupil premium grant, leadership and management in educational settings, safeguarding and school-self-evaluation. Helen is a lead Ofsted inspector.
9th January 2019 & 25th January 2019
This 2 part training is relevant to class teachers. Inclusion leads will also benefit as it will encourage a strategic view of provision in your school or setting. The training will support you with planning to meet the needs of every pupil in your class, regardless of ability or attitude. The training will also consider the effective deployment of teaching assistants, based on the key features of the work of MITA. Helen will work through a self-evaluation tool with you so that you can celebrate your successes and set your next steps.
