Elaine Bridle

Deputy Headteacher and Inco

After gaining a degree in Music from the Royal Academy of Music and working as a professional musician for a number of years, I went on to do a PGCE at Kingston University.

A class teacher for 20 years, I have worked mainly across Key Stage 2. During this time I have led Assessment and Music, been both the teacher and professional mentor for BEd and PGCE students and NQTs, a mentor for the Open University and a leading teacher for Music. I became the non-teaching Deputy Head and INCo of Fleetville Junior School in 2010.

Following the National SENCo accreditation, I went on to complete the Advanced SENCo award and am now working towards a Masters in the Leadership of SEND with the Eastern Leadership Centre and Hertfordshire University. Over the past year, I have worked with local authority SEND advisers on a number of occasions to support SENCos in schools across Hertfordshire. I am passionate about Inclusion and helping children with
Special Educational Needs to reach their full potential.
